This standalone topical finasteride 0.05% solution is formulated without minoxidil for users focusing exclusively on local DHT reduction. The simplified Trichosol-based excipient system supports formulation stability and scalp compatibility. Thanks to its Trichosol base, the solution is devoid of ethanol and propylene glycol, and is thus skin friendly.
Typical use of topical finasteride-only solutions involves once-daily scalp application of 1mL, resulting in a daily finasteride exposure of 0.5mg, approaching the threshold between localized scalp activity and broader systemic influence. A 50mL bottle corresponds to approximately 50 days of standard use.
Composition (50mL): Trichosol q.s. ad 50mL; Ethoxy Diglycol (Transcutol P) 5mL; Distilled Water 10mL; Finasteride 25mg (0.5mg/mL); Sodium Benzoate 50mg.
